Peter McDade, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides both consulting and clinical services from his professional experience that spans over the last thirty-five years.

His clinical works focuses on two areas:
• Couples in conflict challenged by life transitions,
• Individuals facing addictions, mood disorders, trauma recovery, loss and challenges in life.

Dr. McDade is actively involved in teaching and supervising therapists while also committed to positive contributions through charitable service for the greater San Diego community. He works actively as a consultant with the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego, and in the past with the San Diego Chargers, Boys to Men Mentoring Network, and Big Brothers of San Diego. Dr. McDade’s past teaching and service affiliations have been with the Scripps - McDonald Center, Salvation Army, Social Advocates for Youth, Veteran’s Administration, Catholic Charities, Mesa Vista Hospital, ManKind Project, Alliant University, Inside Circle Foundation, University of San Diego, and, University of California – San Diego Extension.

Married with two adult sons, Dr. McDade has experienced the challenges and joys of family life.
