Kristan is a Nationally Board Certified, West Virginia and Pennsylvania licensed acupuncturist and oriental medical practitioner. She has worked in private practice in Philadelphia and for P&O Australia cruiselines and now here in Charleston.

Kristan began her study of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2005 and has study extensively a broad spectrum of modalities in order to enable her to treat with diverse approaches, tailored to each patient’s needs. She combines her study and training in sport's medicine-style acupuncture to treat pain and injury and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and other acupunture modalities, to treat internal medicine and mental-emotional illnesses. She incorporates extensive knowledge of other healing modalities into her practice such as aromatherapy, essential oils, and Bach Flower Therapies when applicable. The combined effort of her education with her root-treatment style based in Traditional Chinese Medicine helps get to the "root" of the problem while also aggressively treating symptoms that are interfering with everyday life.
