Our Mission: To consistently deliver results that people can see and feel through:
- Education and Empowerment

- Lifestyle Choices and Coaching
- The Power of the Chiropractic Adjustment

Our Values:
- Education → Correct understanding precedes correct application. We relentlessly educate every person about what living at 100% consists of, and how to do it each and every day. Understanding and application are lifelong pursuits.
- Acceptance → We believe that God brings people to us whom we can help. We lovingly accept all people, asking only two things in return: they must be willing to learn and apply what they need. Loving and leading are inseparable.
- Commitment → Positive, lasting changes can only occur when a person does the right things, even when it’s not always fun or convenient. We diligently work with individuals to help them reach their goals, ceasing only if they do. Follow through precedes victory.
- Continuous Improvement → Doing the best that you can requires applying the best information, skills and tools you have. We continuously improve ourselves and our office to meet and exceed our practice members’ expectations. Excellence is the standard we set for ourselves and those we serve.

Our Service Standards:
- Safety → We do and say everything with the design of bringing healing and wholeness.
- Courtesy → We treat people with dignity and respect, just as we would want to be treated.
- Show → We do serious work, but we have fun with our practice members as we do it.
- Efficiency → We respect everyone’s resources by streamlining our service.

Services Chiropractic is a unique branch of the healing arts. It concerns itself with the connection between structure and function in the human body. Specifically, chiropractic understands that Gray's Anatomy (the standard text for all health care professionals) is exactly right when it reads, "The nervous system controls and coordinates all organs and structures of the human body." (Gray's Anatomy, 29th Ed., page 4) When the human spine is within normal alignment ranges, the nervous system can do it's job at optimum efficiency. However, when the spine is outside of normal ranges for alignment (a condition referred to as "vertebral subluxation"), the nervous system experiences stress and dysfunction. The result of this stress is that communication between the brain and body is negatively affected, and the body's organs, tissues and cells can no longer perform at 100%. The results of this interference in communication are malfunction in the body, lowered states of health, and eventually (but not always) symptoms or "warning signs." Often, by the time symptoms arise, there have been significant amounts of malfunction and damage accumulating in the body.

Chiropractors use their hands or instruments to deliver corrective forces called "adjustments" to the spine. Over time, as the segments and overall posture of the spine are retrained into more normal alignment, the nervous system can begin to heal and resume its normal function and control of all other body systems. As a result, the body can heal "from the inside out." Chiropractors do not claim to treat or cure any health condition. Chiropractors detect, correct, and prevent vertebral subluxations. However, once the body is functioning optimally, many health conditions to reduce or cease as a result of restored normal function (see our "TESTIMONIALS" section).

Lifestyle Coaching

Chiropractors have also traditionally concerned themselves with "aligning people's lifestyles" as well. Chiropractors recognize that experiences and choices in a person's life will influence their ability to function and heal normally. These lifestyle factors and stressors fall into three general categories:

1) Chemical: nutritional choices, environmental exposures

2) Physical: exercise habits, ergonomics of work and recreation

3) Mental: attitudes, patterns of thinking and reacting, psychological stress

At Turning Pointe, you will have the option of working with our doctor's to reduce and/or eliminate these sources of stress in your life. By reducing these stressors, your enhance your body's natural healing abilities and actually improve the results of your chiropractic care.

Services

At Turning Pointe, we pride ourselves on offering the finest chiropractic care we know how to deliver. That means we are continuously educating and training ourselves to bring the most-advanced and best-researched procedures to our practice members. In short, we take care of people they way we would want to be take care of.

Patients at Turning Pointe are given two basic choices if we believe we can help them. They are as follows:

Symptom-focused or “Relief” care
Patients choosing this type of care are choosing to relieve their symptoms only in a natural, holistic way. This type of care is similar to filling a tooth cavity in dental care. The immediate health crisis is addressed with the goal of relieving the symptoms temporarily.

Care will involve chiropractic adjustments and soft tissue techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Care stops when the desired level of relief is achieved. Postural faults are left uncorrected, and the patient returns when their symptoms come back or their goals change. This is about 5-10% of our practice member population.

Cause-focused or “Rehabilitative” care
Patients choosing this type of care are choosing to relieve their symptoms first, but then go further to rehabilitate the shape/structure and function of their spine and nervous system. This type of care is similar to orthodontics for teeth. The goal is to correct underlying causes of symptoms, making structural changes that promote long-term relief, stability and maximum function.

Care progresses until the patient reaches normal ranges for their posture or gets as close to these ranges as they want to. Most of these patients go on to do some form of wellness care to preserve their level of correction and promote optimum nervous system function and health. This is about 90-95% of our practice member population.

It was very easy to get an initial patient evaluation. I came back to a class that helped me know what to look for in my own x-rays and then I got to see mine. I could see how the symptoms I was experiencing were directly connected to the problems on my x-ray. I know if I left my spine in that condition, it would be a huge mess when I get older. They have a very flexible schedule and get me in quickly every time. They were so easy to reach in an emergency, there is a number on the voicemail for urgent needs. It is a relief to know that I can count on them to always be there for me when I need them the most. It is so refreshing to see a provider that you can tell truly cares about their appearance. All of my questions were answered during my appointments, and the doctor seemed very knowledgeable. They were happy to answer each and every question I had in-depth, so I could make the best decision possible about whether I wanted to pursue corrective care or just relief care. I could tell the staff was confident that Dr. Linn could help me and that he had all the resources I needed to point me in the right direction.
