A friend recommended Heritage Chiropractic after I hurt my back. Although there is a sign on the door that says "Accepting new patients," they would not schedule a visit. My friend persisted and I was granted an appointment. The doctor walked in, stared at me, slumped into a chair and said something to the effect that he was surprised to see me walking around since I was supposed to be in such pain. He did a quick adjustment that helped about 50%. I waited to make another visit until I had x-rays completed. The X-ray tech and doctor both told me I had a herniated disc but that an adjustment might help other areas. On my second visit, Dr. Nelson walked into the room, looked and me and said, "Oh, you again." No smile. I said, "You don't seem happy to see me." He said he was offended that the x-ray technician had told me I had a herniated disc. He said X-ray techs don't have any business telling patients anything. Then I told him my back had been making snapping and popping noises and was painful. He said, "God gave you a perfect body. Satan is putting ideas into your head and you must reject them." I was so shocked I didn't know what to say. He then performed a 5-minute adjustment and sent me out to pay my bill. I can't believe I paid it, but I was still in shock by his inappropriate and weird comments. I will never return there. I have found a competent, friendly, professional doctor instead.
