I took my two English Bulldog puppies to Dr Anderson for cherry eye surgery on both dogs to the tune of 2,300 dollars. Upon picking the dogs up, they both had on cones that were far too small for their bodies, causing one of them to be nearly suffocated to death needing to be revived when arriving home, the second dogs collar was on so tight that it cut into his chest causing an infection. That was just the beginning of our troubles with DR Andersons work. The minute we picked the dogs up, I could see that one of the cherry eyes on one of the dogs was still sticking out, Dr Andersons reply, not bad if I were a baseball player I would be considered successful!! We took the dogs back to Dr Anderson after two days as the infection on the chest needed treatment and to check on the cherry eye that was still sticking out, his response, it will get better with time and that he was an expert on the procedure now as he had spent the night before the procedure study up on how the procedure was performed and watching videos of the procedure being done. I questioned to myself has he ever even done this procedure and does he even know what he is talking about... Four days post opp and both dogs cherry eyes are sticking out to the point they were prior to surgery. I call Dr Anderson who states to send him a picture and they may need to refer me to ophthalmology. Then he ghost me, never responds to the email and never calls me. Here I sit with two puppies with cones on their necks, infections on their chest and messed up eyes. With no response from the doctor who performed the procedure and out 2,300 dollars. I will be filling a complaint with the Veterinary board of California as well as proceeding with small claims court to recoup my losses.
