I work with individuals, couples, families and adolescents, and I specialize in Women's Issues and couples in transition. I feel that when we have a safe, non-judgemental place to discuss our feelings, a lot can be learned about our lives, patterns and relationships. Many women experience symptoms related to depression, anxiety, self-esteem, body image and challenges finding a healthy relationship. I hope to help provide a supportive, non-judgemental space for us to work through those difficult issues together. Many couples face challenges as they make decisions to get married, change careers and / or have children. I can assist couples in finding a safe place to discuss these sensitive issues and find resolution and a plan.
I believe that the therapist/client relationship is critical to your success in counseling, and I genuinely value input from you as we work together. I work interactively and like to discuss your goals, so we both feel like we are on a path to your own happiness. While I do not give advice, I do help problem-solve and give feedback on what I hear, in order to help you make the right decision for yourself. Too often we feel that we "should" do something - often putting other people's feelings before our own. I want to encourage you to find your voice, to help you speak your truth so you can live the life YOU want.
I have a significant background in the corporate world, and understand the challenges of finding a good work/life balance as well as transitioning careers. I also have personal experience in the transition into motherhood and parenthood. This transition can be emotionally challenging, as you find yourself in a position of redefining your own identity, relationship and possibly career.
