The psychologists and psychiatrists at Williamsburg Therapy Group have expertise in couples therapy, family therapy and individual growth work all designed to enhance desired relationships. Our Director, Dr. Daniel Selling, continues to practice privately on the Upper West Side, helping many couples work through challenging areas of growth in their relationship and resolution of family issues.
Most individuals find themselves repeating the same cycles in relationships. Whether patients experience repetitive conflicts with a partner or similar problems across multiple relationships, Williamsburg Therapy Group can help them break the cycle.

ANXIETY & DEPRESSION
Most people feel anxious or depressed at times. Losing a loved one, getting fired from a job, going through a divorce, and other difficult situations can cause a person to feel sad, lonely, scared, nervous, or anxious. These feelings are normal reactions to life’s stressors.
But some people experience these feelings daily or nearly daily for no apparent reason, making it difficult to carry on with normal, everyday functioning. These people may have an anxiety disorder, depression, or both.

SEVERE EMOTIONAL CONDITIONS
Some of the strongest, most resilient people are those who live with such conditions as Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder and severe personality disorders. The doctors of Williamsburg Therapy Group have extensive experience practicing psychotherapy with patients who struggle with severe emotional conditions in both inpatient and outpatient continuing day treatment settings, as well as private practice.

ADDICTION
The Director of Williamsburg Therapy Group is an expert in the field of addiction, having created the largest jail-based substance abuse treatment program in the country.
Drug and Alcohol addiction are ubiquitous afflictions that affect so many lives around us. People become dependent on drugs and alcohol for a number of reasons. Every person has their own unique story and road that took them there. One common thread most people share when they become dependent on alcohol and drugs is the emotional and physical effects dependency causes. If left untreated, addiction adversely impacts self-esteem, relationships and, eventually, every aspect of life.
