Upper Cervical Care is a type of Chiropractic which focuses on releasing pressure in the area where the head meets the neck. This area is vitally important because it is where the brainstem lies, which controls all of the automatic functions in the body. These include heartbeat, digestion, respiration, immune system, and healing. The brainstem is part of the central nervous system which controls all healing and functioning in the body.
The goal of Upper Cervical Care is to make sure the messages going through the brainstem to the rest of the body are not being distorted. We do this by giving the most specific adjustment possible. We take precision x-rays to see exactly where the misalignment is, so that each adjustment is tailor made. Everything is done in a neutral position, which means no twisting or pulling on the head, and no popping or cracking noise.
