I have needed physical therapy several times over the years due to disc herniations, a torn bicep, and elbow issues. The first time I needed physical therapy was for a disc herniation and severe pain. My Sanford doctor referred me to Craig Reilly at ProActive Physical Therapy. I have found Craig to be very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He cares about each patient and works with them on individualized plans based on where a given patient is at each day from a physical and pain standpoint. He works to increase strength and flexibility at each patient's own pace. He is extremely careful to not have patients do exercises that may worsen their injuries. Another thing Craig does is explain why he has one do the various exercises - whether strengthening one's core or strengthening muscles around an injured area - and provides home exercises and reminders of movements to avoid. I have insisted on a referral to ProActive Physical Therapy whenever I have needed physical therapy, which has probably been about seven times over the past fifteen years. I have seen Craig successfully work with people of all ages and needs, including sports injuries. I highly recommend ProActive Physical Therapy, but that may be an understatement.
