About

Nick Baiata, DC

Dr. Baiata utilizes specific hands-on chiropractic techniques to the spine and extremities known as The Diversified Technique or The Palmer Technique. Going beyond the spine, he also works on supportive tissue (e.g. muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia) by employing soft-tissue manipulation, such as trigger point therapy and myofascial release technique.

In addition to the adjustment and muscle work, Dr. Baiata gives specific exercises and instruction to enhance the chiropractic adjustment and improve health. Treatment plans are tailored to fit the individual’s needs, wants and lifestyle.

A native Floridian and University of North Florida alumnus, Dr. Baiata is excited to be back at the beaches of Jacksonville after working seven years in New York City running his successful Manhattan chiropractic office.

Dr. Baiata earned the distinction of “Best Hands” at the prestigious Palmer Chiropractic College West, where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and the majority of his chiropractic education. He also studied at the esteemed Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta.

Patients find Dr. Baiata honest and caring, he listens well and works with them on an individual basis to guide them to health and peace of mind. Known for his comforting touch and calm manner, Dr. Baiata quickly puts his patients at ease.

Dr. Baiata commonly treats back pain, neck pain, headaches, migraines, TMJ disorders, tendinitis, sprains and strains, and sciatica. He is confident and comfortable when treating patients, young and old, male and female, with a variety of presentations and conditions such as arthritis, scoliosis, pregnancy, disc herniations, pinched nerves, and neuritis, to name some.

Dr. Baiata goes beyond removing pain, working to improve and maintain health, and ultimately the quality of life. Diet, exercise, and stress management are among the topics discussed to promote health. True to his message, Dr. Baiata lives by example, maintaining a healthy whole food diet and staying active by surfing, hiking, practicing yoga and martial arts.

I had traveled to Atlantic Beach to assist a relative, with a bad back, which turned into sciatic pain all the way to the ankle. Agony!

Dr. Baiata was available on a holiday Monday, and as I arrived at his office, immediately made me feel that I had made a great choice.
His artist wife runs the office, and her wonderful, colorful paintings, depicting the area beaches, add a special feel to the office. Dr. Baiata is careing, professional, and knows his stuff. I felt relief right away. After several sessions I am almost back to normal.

Do try Surfside Chiropractic, you will be happy you did.
