Services At the MHT Family Life Center we integrate faith and psychology within our work with counseling individuals, couples, families and groups.

This approach invites clients into a safe and sacred space that allows them to grow into the person they desire to become, and provides support as they deal with everyday life stressors. We offer compassion, emotional and non-judgment support creating a relaxing atmosphere, that allows clients to express their emotions and become a freer and transformed self. This approach allows us to meet client’s where they are and gain insight and clarity within the counseling encounter.

In the area of Marriage and Family Therapy, we work with couples to achieve the following:
• Pre-marital Counseling
• Developing healthy communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
• Understanding the power of listening
• Re-establishing trust within the relationship
• Exploring intimacy
• Exploring unhealthy boundaries and developing healthy boundaries
• Exploring marital myths and developing a healthy understanding of marriage as covenant

Our pastoral counselors are trained in multicultural counseling thus allowing us to work with a diverse population. We provide counseling to poor, low-income, and middle-class families who struggle with crises in their marriage and/or individual life. In addition, to providing free counseling to persons within Metro Atlanta prison systems, homeless and HIV/Aids communities.

Lastly, we facilitate several diverse groups and work extensively with women who have been victimized by intimate violence.

The MHT Family Life Center provides counseling for persons who are facing but not limited to the following issues:
