First we talk. Tell me what is bothering you. What treatments have you tried? Then I perform an exam to zero in on your problem. I explain my findings and what they mean and recommend a treatment plan of 6 visits or less. I usually ask you to use home heat, ice or to avoid certain activities for a while. With each visit, I monitor your progress and make minor adjustments to get better results.
There is never a rush during appointments. I like to learn about you. Talk current events and answer questions about nearly anything.
Many of my patients have tried other doctors with poor results. At my office we get better results than 95% of other DCs. Perhaps this is because I use whatever treatment will benefit you specifically. If you require traction, I'll use that. Standard manipulation? Soft tissue work? A brace? I use whatever works and avoid unproven gimmicks, gadgets and fad treatments.
