About

Kenneth Thomas, D.C.

Dr. Thomas first became interested in chiropractic after a personal experience in college while earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology at Western Carolina University. In fact, the positive impact on his life was so positive that he changed direction, choosing to study to become a chiropractor. After he completed his undergraduate degree, Dr. Thomas studied in the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Sherman College in Spartanburg, SC, graduating in 2006. After graduation, Dr. Thomas moved to Charlotte, NC where he worked for several years gaining invaluable experience at one of the largest and busiest clinics in the southeast.

Dr. Thomas feels that education and a broad holistic knowledge base is essential for good patient care. As such, he has studied in the nursing program at East Carolina University, completing the first phase of study leading to eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse. He is currently enrolled in their MSN program.

Dr. Thomas has completed numerous hours of continuing education in such areas as complex differential diagnosis, nutrition, care planning, patient communication, soft tissue manipulation, manual therapies, and quality improvement.

In addition to his practice duties and experience, Dr. Thomas is involved in educating future chiropractors by instructing, authoring and editing courses that are utilized by both chiropractic students and practicing doctors in preparation for the rigorous standardized testing required for licensure.

Dr. Thomas believes everyone deserves great mobility and by extension great health, resulting in a holistic and rounded approach that is patient centered. He believes a health care provider should serve as a resource to the patient and as a facilitator of patient goals, which always directs the care he provides.
