I've been around chiropractic my entire life. My uncle went to Palmer and I started seeing a chiropractor as a teenager in North Dakota. Shoveling snow, stacking fire wood and general chores made adjustments a necessary routine for me at a young age.

I moved to Houston in 2011 and finding a chiropractor was a top priority. I had been diagnosed with an auto-immune disease that affected my joints along with fibromyalgia right after I moved, making the need to find someone good even more urgent.

I lucked out and found Dr. Samuel Hunt on the first try. He was working at Brando Chiropractic off Memorial at the time and used the differentiated technique, which was new to me.

Dr. Hunt is 6'10" and a former basketball player. I'm not a petite girl at 5'8" and it helps to know that someone will physically be able to manage the adjustment. His background in athletics was encouraging, as many chiropractors I had seen in the past told me to back off of P90X and Crossfit in exchange for less "jarring" movements. It was refreshing to find a doctor willing to work with me to find solutions that suit my lifestyle best.

I saw Dr. Hunt twice a month for the three years I lived in Houston and my health can be greatly attributed to his care. He was very thorough and I had x-rays run to see what we were dealing with and follow up x-rays every year to track progress, which there definitely was. If I was in rough shape, he was more than willing to make house calls. I had to take him up on that a few times. He even came to our hotel room the day before our move to adjust my husband and I since we didn't have time during the week to make it in.

Dr. Hunt was a strong influence in my decision to try a gluten-free diet and was a great supporter when I decided that taking the next step to follow a Paleo diet may be the right choice. He was always coming to me with articles he had read regarding my diet and my condition. He has a very holistic approach and I found myself relying on him when my traditional doctors weren't offering any relief to my many auto-immune related issues.

Dr. Hunt is thorough, compassionate and always looking for solutions. My sister and many former co-workers now see him on a regular basis based on my positive experience with him. I still get text messages from him checking in on my health and my husband and I will definitely be continuing care with him when we return to Houston. I highly recommend him.

They really go above and beyond to make me feel special. I've never been anywhere that seems to care more about their clients than here. Their office was the absolute perfect temperature. It was so nice to be able to get out of the weather outside and sit in a relaxing, comfortable office. They went out of their way to make me feel special and respected, and were very sympathetic to my situation. I've never seen more kindness and empathy anywhere else.
