Sharona Dayan DDS, DMSc earned both her B.S. and Doctor of Dental Surgery from U.C.L.A. She then earned a Doctor of Medical Sciences and a Certificate of Periodontics as well as Oral Medicine from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She was a Clinical and Research Fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital where she studied the genetics of oral cancer. Dr. Dayan has received over five years of periodontal education beyond the general dentist degree. More recently, she has obtained advanced training from prestigious institutes such as Dr. Pat Allens Center for Advanced Education, Misch International Implant Institute, the Kois Center, and the Dawson Center.
Dr. Dayan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. She is affiliated with the American College of Oral Implantology, American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society. At a recent gathering of the Yankee Dental Congress she presented on the subject of palate-free gum grafting using AlloDerm.
