Dr. Alexander Gomelsky is fellowship-trained in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS). He divides his time between Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Willis Knighton Health System in Shreveport. Dr. Gomelsky is the B.E. Trichel Professor and Chair of Urology, the Director of Female Urology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, and the Residency Program Director at LSU Health Shreveport. He offers the most current diagnostic techniques, including Da Vinci Robotic-Assisted Surgery as well as minimally invasive treatments for urinary incontinence, and complex pelvic floor reconstruction for pelvic prolapse and neurologic voiding problems. His greatest sense of accomplishment comes from improving the lifestyles of women who are crippled by these conditions.
