About

Edward "Don" Anthony, MBA, MS Ed

Since 1992, Don Anthony has been practicing a variety of Yoga Asanas, and experimenting with various techniques of Meditation. In addition, Sampoorna Yoga incorporates Bhakti, Jnana, Hatha, Karma, Nada, and Raja Yoga as a complete, full system of health for the mind, body, and spirit. Don has been initiated as Yogi Haris disciple, and is considered an Acharya of these principles.

Recently, Don delivered Yoga classes at Summit Questa Montessori School in Davie, FL as part of their Wellness Program for teachers, administration and parents. From 2006 until 2009, Don delivered Hatha Yoga instruction to students at the Golden Lotus Yoga Studio of Cape Coral, FL, and at the Wellness Center of Cape Coral Hospital, a division of the Lee Memorial Health System (LMHS) in Lee County, FL. He taught beginner and intermediate Asana classes. He also conducted a number of 3-hour workshops to heighten awareness about the benefits of practicing meditation, pranayama breathing, yoga asanas, and pratyhara techniques for healing the human anatomy, physiology, and psyche.

He has been practicing Yama, Niyama, Pranayama, Asana, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and works toward attaining the state of Samadhi on a daily basis. Shri Yogi Hari initiated Don as "Dhyanavan", which translates from Sanskrit as "the sober, wise and meditative one"; a true honor as a disciple of a living Guru.

Don incorporates a multitude of asanas into his 90-minute classes, which provide the participant with a challenging experience for their internal organs as well as stimulates the circulatory, muscular, nervous, digestive, and skeletal systems. At the end of the workout, the participant in this 90-minute session usually feels a psycho-neuro-physiological enhancement beyond most modern day fitness regiments.

Most individuals admit that when they walk away, they have gained the experiential knowledge of how to improve their greatest wealth: Health!
