From my experience here - Stay away from the latest pop psychology that will often lead to divorce as compare to a Christian marriage counselor that leads you closer to God and each other by using marriage principles based on God’s clear words in the Bible. We’re on our third counselor now and three years later still trying to undo some of the pop psy. Guys, note to self – IF your wife was ever abused, you should be very sensitive to be in counseling with her and ask her to not to talk about you to her friends because you may be the best husband and guy in the world, but eventually without you there to provide some reality to her broken self and filter, your face will end up in the place of those who hurt her the most. This really stinks to a depth you cannot imagine when you really love your wife and you want to see her and your marriage healed. When the marriage and life principles are not clearly aligned with God’s clear words and direction in the Bible (i.e. 1 Corn Ch 5, 6, and 7) run!

So be careful and don't leave a message with an approximate time you might be available on a day way in the future or she will consider it confirmed without ever calling you back on it. And if you are starting to cry over an issue, she will ask if you have allergies or something. Overall she is nice as a person but for a doctor I need someone less robotic and someone who can give me more than just a printed handout of how things should be. I can probably find all of that on the internet for free.

I had to wait for a little while after I arrived for my appointment, but I've had to wait longer at other places. Whenever I have a question, even if it's very basic, they always make me schedule an appointment, which is extremely frustrating. You couldn’t pay me enough to go back and see them again.
