Dr. Gafanovich is dedicated to providing the same superb medical care that her predecessors gave to their patients. The Upper East Side practice was founded in 1961 by Dr. Eric Cassell, who was well known in New York City for his 40 years of expertise and personalized patient care. His immediate successor, Dr. Kenneth P. Scileppi, continued the same high standard of medical care for another 20 years. This very personal and dedicated practice was then entrusted to Dr. Marina Gafanovich, who was chosen for her intelligence, first-rate skills in internal medicine, and her fierce commitment to the well-being of her patients.
Dr. Gafanovich has attending privileges at both New York Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan and North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. Dr. Gafanovich accepts most major insurance plans, as well as Medicare.
We are a multidisciplinary practice providing a broad range of services at our offices. Our multi-lingual staff is happy to address your needs in English, Russian or Spanish.

Abdominal Aorta Screening (for Aortic Aneurysm)
Chest X-Ray (performed, developed, and read by MD on premises)
Cholesterol Panel (performed on-site)
Electrocardiogram (ECG)
Fast and effective tests for Influenza A and B
Hearing Tests
INR (blood clotting) Testing
Medical clearances for college students
Non-invasive Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) testing
Phlebotomy Blood Draws
Pre-employment medical clearances, including PPD testing
Pre-operative clearances (our pre-op clearances are completed in 48 to 72 hours)
Pulmonary function testing
Mononucleosis (Mono) testing
'Rapid Strep' testing for pharyngitis
Routine Vaccinations, including:
Flu Shots (including H1N1)
Hepatitis A and B

Varicella
Same-day CAT scans, ultrasounds, or any other imaging via Weill Cornell Medical Center , Lenox Hill Radiology, or East River Imaging imaging facilities.
