About

Angie Toivonen, LMT

Hello massage enthusiasts!
My name is Angie and I've been providing massage to others for 20+ years now, since 2001.
When I moved to CO in 2004 I decided to open a private practice in order to get away from the hustle and bustle of working with many other therapists in a busy setting, and in turn have a peaceful and quiet place where we don't have to be rushed through our sessions, or interrupted.
I settled into Wheat Ridge and in 2005, started working on building up my clientele, many of whom have journeyed with me up until this present day for their routine massage care.
I have a very nice clean, comfortable office close to 44th/Kipling with temperature control and low lighting which I give my sessions in.
I've had my share of injuries, bad headaches, mental and physical challenges over the years, so I'm able to relate to many of my clients issues they need addressing.
I've slowed down in my practice, only taking one to two appointments/day and I give plenty of time in between sessions so I'm able to give everyone the best massage and energy possible.
I am very grateful to have so many awesome and unique clients stick with me throughout the years(they are basically family), and I love meeting new clients, giving everyone that precious time to heal, unwind and let GO!

Services I specialize in are a variety of massage modalities, and I can usually give a combination of them to suit my clients needs.
I provide relaxing head-to-toe Swedish massage with medium pressure, focused on one area at a time.
I also provide Esalen massage with the use of oil and a lighter draping. It is with longer, flowing uninterrupted head-to-toe and side-to-side strokes, including holding and rocking.
Esalen is a very intuitive session with the therapist tuned in to your energy, your breathing and what your body may need. It's a top request from many of my clients, using anywhere from lighter to deeper pressure throughout the session.
If needed I can go deeper on any problem areas you have, or spend more time on those areas.
I tend to spend about half the time on each side, avoiding any places you don't want or need.
I don't cut sessions short and I take my time with everyone so it's never rushed.
Conversations are to your liking as some people choose to talk during the whole session and others prefer to stay quiet and "let go".
I use an unscented professional lotion in lotion warmers so you never get cold lotion applied to your skin.
Coconut oil is available if you'd prefer.
I also provide passive stretching, prenatal massage and aromatherapy(no extra charge).
I can use Biofreeze on sore achy muscles.
I don't give super deep tissue or do massages where you want the therapist to "give them your all", but I do a pretty good job working deeper in areas of need. Especially the neck and back, glutes/IT band and legs.
Regular prices are $110/hour, $150/90 minutes
I take $20 off your first session which is a good way to see if you like my massage style at a discounted rate. My rates are comparable to others that have been in my field a long time.
Call or text with any questions or to schedule an appointment.

One thing I noticed about their office was how absolutely fantastic it smelled. They must clean or sanitize all the time. They always have an immediate answer for me when I call with a question. They would never try to get me to make an appointment unless I really needed one. Their primary concern is what's best for me, and they only give me the advice that would benefit me the most.
