At Jenison Psychological Services we offer individual adult, child, and family psychotherapy and counseling as well as assessment services, to help individuals heal emotionally, and regain normal functioning.

In addition, we offer services to foster an individuals' personal growth in order to reach their full potential spiritually, emotionally, and in family and business life. This program is for those who are functioning normally but are not satisfied with "just getting by." It is designed to help people reach their full potential as mothers or fathers, husbands or wives, or in their business or career.

Our Personal Coaching Program is designed to help individuals achieve excellence in their career, business, or family life, through self-growth and development. This program is a professional consulting service, which fosters personal and professional development, and therefore is not covered by insurance. However in most cases the costs are deductible as a business expense.

Education Dr. Schmitt received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, with Honors, from Michigan State University, in 1980. He completed his Masters and Doctoral Degrees from Central Michigan University, in 1987 and 1993 respectively.
Training He completed his internship Henry Ford Hospital, in Detroit, one of the nations top 25 hospitals, in the Department of Psychiatry. His major rotation was in out-patient psychiatry with a minor rotation on the Medical Hospital Inpatient Consultation/ Liaison Psychiatry Service and the Center For Human Sexuality where he was trained in the treatment of human sexual problems.
