Karen was supposed to meet with my ex, my child and I, and sort through some issues before we went back to court for custody. Instead she met with my ex and my child in the same room for about a 1/2 hour then talked to my ex by himself for another 20 minutes and then let me know that I would need to schedule an appointment for a later date. I was never able to meet with the counselor and my child together. I met with her one time all together and then in court she proceeded went as a witness to my ex. HOW does a private counselor get to do this??? and what could she possibly even know she met me once. She stated I was less willing to co parent then my ex. Sad that she thinks she could make that life altering decision with just a one sided meeting. She is biased and it is sad because she not only got duked by another person but she let her personal feelings get in the way. During that visit her mother was ill and it just so happened my ex's mother died that same day so she felt very empathetic towards him.. And because she did this my child has not been able to play in any activities because he will not let her participate. Karen is not very good at her job. I would not recommend her to anyone who ever deals with child custody issues.
