Dr Lobel clearly fails in legal and ethical responsibilities. He is extremely irresponsible and his actions are indicative of his diregard for the well being of those he is hired to assess. During my divorce proceedings, he was retained to help guide the court system in deciding what was best for my children. My husband and I both met with him sepatrately and with our children. Statement were made to Dr Lobel, during detailed conversations. However, it appears that Dr Lobel only submits partial staements to the court, resulting in misrepresentation of the entire conversation. For example, I told Dr Lobel I felt I was a failure as a parent to my children due to continuous instances in which I felt I disappointed them. His submission to the court was, "She feels she is a failure as a parent" and, "She continuously disappoints her children." I also told him when my youngest child becomes extremely upset and unable to communicate with during tantrums, I feel it is best to walk away and ignore the situation until he is calm. His submission to the court was, "She ignores her son when he is extremely upset." My soon to be ex-husband has a self confessed gambling addiction which has negatively impacted our lives as a family, his ability to provide for us and the safety of his minor children, leaving them unattended when gambling opportunities arise. He also has a drinking problem. Although he has admitted to these addictions, he has not yet sought professional help or treament. However, Dr Lobel states to the court that, "The children would benefit from spending more time with their father." Dr Lobel is dangerous and I would highly suggest he not be the examiner of choice during your court proceedings. This, unforyunately, is the one thing my husband and I have agreed on in years.
