Waited 40 minutes to be seen. Was told the visit would be $75 but when we were paying after the visit we were charged $125! We were told it was because we exceeded the 15 minute appointment which would have been $75. The doctor kept us longer than necessary telling us irrelevant stories and then showed us a dog that was up for adoption in the back of the office so we definitely felt swindled into spending more time there than necessary. Not to mention that our appointment was for 7:00 pm, didn't get seen until 7:40 and really just wanted to get home to feed our dog dinner and ourselves! When finally checking out around 8:30 pm and questioning the bill, Dr. DeMasi had the nerve to tell us that her staff was working overtime because of us and they should have closed at 8:00 pm! When leaving that Tuesday night we were told to call Friday to get our dog's blood results. I called that Friday, May 6th, and surprise surprise, the results were not back yet and the staff seemed unorganized and said they would lab to see what was taking so long. I didn't hear back from anyone until 5/10, Dr. DeMasi left me a voice mail stating that all of my dog's blood work was normal and she would send a copy to my house. When I received the results I noticed that my dog's liver values were high, definitely above normal, which is the main issue that we had discussed during the office visit since high liver values had been an ongoing trend for my dog in the past. Why would she tell me all of the blood results were normal? Good question. She also said that his titer results were still not back and that someone would call me when they came in. Well 5/26 I called the office wondering where the titer results were and why no one had called me? They told me that Dr. DeMasi had left me a voice mail on 5/10, which she did but had said the titer results weren't back yet.
So unorganized, unprofessional and rude. Not to mention over priced and a dirty office! I will never go back, it's back to Smith Ridge Vet for me!
