From the moment I walked in, I felt at home. The warm staff welcomed me and I knew this place would be a place of healing.

Be wary. Before you know it this clinic will have you seeing multiple therapists. At one point, my husband and I were each seeing different therapists individually, each seeing their medication managing professional and seeing a marriage therapist together. That's 3 visits a week plus 2-4 visits monthly. I believe they are in the business of making money. My experience at Waters Edge is that the referrals between therapists go to the one with an open schedule and not to the one with the experience that will help you. I was referred by our marriage counselor to another therapist for individual counseling who had only been there 2 weeks and had previously worked with teenagers in high schools. My husband's therapist referred us to a marriage counselor. It was to a woman specializing in eating disorders! (And she had never been married). She used a few by-the-book approaches with us. After a handful of visits, she quit us. Told us she was out of ideas on how to help us and that we weren't ready for marriage counseling! Blamed us?!? Her lack of experience had her in way over her head. Afterwards, all our therapists conferred with each other, then denied things that were said to me in an effort to cover their butts. Again, they blamed me by saying I misunderstood what they said. My advice is to STEER CLEAR of Waters Edge!
