Sue Ann Hooked me up to a machine had headphones and light bar and finger pads that alternated light sound and vibration repeatedly from left to right and right to left. She did this for the majority of three sessions. I did not return after the third time she did this. But evening more concerning is that she would not see me for the 6 sessions approved by theEAP until I also provided my health insurance information. When I challenged this, she said she could not see me with out knowing how the sessions would be paid after the EAP sessions ran out. Avoid Sue Ann Wrenn!

Dr. Sue Anne is a very lovely lady in some cases. I have no doubt that she might be a great fit for several of her clients. Personally, I do not believe that her policies and practice are a fit for me.

Not only did I spend time in at least 4 sessions teaching her how to use her printer, cc machine, sit alone while she to left session to speak with her adult daughter, or end early to take an emergency patient call or start late due to a previous patient going over (and not allowing me to do the same), but felt as though I needed to constantly reiterate several basics of my experiences and life as a “millennial” and found she was unable to understand or retain those concepts and information. For someone who was so flexible with my time, she does not grant the same to her patients.

I am currently working a primary high-stress job with lots of travel as well as a second part-time job. I was scheduled to work my second job yesterday at the same time as my appointment, which I attempted to reschedule. At that time Ginny informed me of the $130 late cancel fee. I told her I understood and spoke with my manager who arranged for me to be able to go to my session to avoid the fee.

Yesterday, when I walked into her office I was informed that I owed Dr. Sue Anne $390 for “three late cancels” before she even closed the door to talk.

1st: unavoidable flight delay. 2nd: tentatively rescheduled me over the phone for the following day at noon; I was unable to attend & was not told I was facing any late charges for my absence when I called. 3rd: after a confirmation text for my 5 pm appointment was sent to me at 5:05 pm the night prior; I asked if I was able to reschedule at 5:14 pm. I received a text at 8:14 am confirming it was no problem with the next available appointment.

Yesterday I was told to my surprise that I “screwed her out of three appointments” and that she “should charge [me] for the full $390 and that even though it was not fair she would only charge me for one of those”.

Let’s rewind here and just so you are aware - even if you are asked to confirm 23 hours and 55 minutes before your appointment and can’t make it, then respond 23 hours and 46 minutes before your appointment you will still be charged $130 if you do not attend. They won’t tell you that though.

I wish I had ended our relationship after the initial consultation however I felt I had made a significant financial commitment at that point and she requires a final appointment to discuss why you wish to discontinue sessions which allowed her to convince me I needed to keep going. At the end of the day, I should have stuck up for myself more than I did in this situation but I was under the impression this was a safe space and I would not be taken advantage of.

This last session she questioned why I was “unable to keep up with a calendar” and I truly felt like I was being lectured by my grandmother.

I struggle with the high demand and flexibility in my usually overbooked schedule, which she was aware of. I never expected to be talked to in that way for almost 10 minutes before and after my session. I asked her for a referral and not only did she avoid that but she proceeded to berate me in front of her admin repeating that we needed to get her involved because it was past 6 pm and she “needed to leave to prepare for her vacation and didn't have time to argue with me over what she was owed”.

I am happy to pay for any services, however the way she handled the situation was EXTREMELY unprofessional and left me in tears. In conclusion, I was never informed that canceling any of those sessions would result in the late fee. There was paperwork signed at the beginning noting there was that fee, however, based on my communications I was led to believe that fee did not apply in those situations.

If you need an affordable, understanding, consistent, or flexible psychologist I do not recommend Dr. Sue Anne.

Update: messaged her office to cancel my upcoming appointment twice and still have not received a response despite a request confirming receipt.
