I was court ordered to meet with this group for a custody evaluation during a very acrimonious divorce.. As a parent, the fear of having to go through such an invasive process was unsettling. This team of professionals far exceeded my expectations of what I thought was to be a traumatic event. They were reassuring, kind, and extended the highest level of integrity and unbiased evaluation. Each step of the way, as frightening as it seemed they genuinely cared about the impact of each of the members of our families well being during the process. There were times I felt a stoic atmosphere but that was because they were doing their job as the process was very rigid and not therapeutic in the sense where they could offer therapy. The times I felt fearful of invasive information shared, or my past being brought to light, they extended kindness, reassurance and compassion. Although I may not have liked what I had to hear, they did not in any way show bias to one party or the other. in fact, they did their best to bring the parties together in the best interest of the children, Never have I seen a team in the mental health profession as high a caliber as Silver Psychology. If you have to go through this evaluation process, and want a team that is interested in the well being of you and your children, this is the place to go. Be transparent and forthright and I can assure you that you will be treated with the utmost respect, Also keep in mind that they have a job to do and they are not being paid to take sides so at times you will not know where you stand in the outcome. However, their relentless efforts to bring all family members together in harmony during such a painful process goes to show their level of commitment to the mental health field and the well being of families placed in such an intrusive process. I highly recommend Dr. And Dr. Silver and the great team of professionals that they work with.
