When I met Carol, she "seemed" like she genuinely cared, however; this was a front. I was advised NOT to tell Ms Reinert about abuse that I suffered in my marriage as it would make me look like I was "bashing". However; Ms Reinert insisted on it. She asked for documentation. I provided documents on my ex's arrests, police records, documents on child abuse case with/him, DHS reports going back years. I sent by email & she claimed she did not receive them. I then, hand delivered them. She also asked for parental evaluation forms from family, friends & professionals. Neighbors, friends, family, my adult children, etc... She claimed she did not receive them. She sat right in her office claiming she did not receive these forms from my own parents who sent me emailed proof. As she opened up her smart phone, "suddenly" my parents emails appeared. She then told me that she is technology challenged & started boasting about how much she respects intelligent men that can help her in this area & went on to tell me how intelligent her ex is & that he just helped her recover a 40 page report for court that she lost. Going forward, I told all who filled out the evaluations that they must email AND snail mail. Only a handful of professionals would fill them out as it was confidential information and/or against policy. I did however; have a few professionals that felt comfortable filling out the form. Some professionals however; would only write a letter with limited information. A therapist wrote a letter stating that our teen our son disclosed a history of abuse. Carol claimed she didn't receive this. I also received a letter from TESSA stating I have been utilizing their services since 2007 & from military Family Advocacy since 2013 due to domestic violence. This is all the information that could be disclosed as these are confidential agency's protecting the rights of victims, despite her threats of sending subpoenas. She rarely returned phone calls & emails. She twisted words/put words in your mouths/ info from the other party. She scheduled interviews w/my children. The adult children & teen informed me that she twisted the answers to her questions. My 23 year old asked her not to take notes; as she did not feel comfortable w/her words being changed. As a result, Ms. Reinert put in the report that my daughter was neutral towards both parties. However; my daughter disclosed all of the abuse & gave me a copy of her parental evaluation where she was clearly not neutral, but concerned about her siblings. Ms. Reinert was late for appointments & in a rush. The appointments focused on her current "crisis". She had surgery, talked of her pain, had to travel to her doctors, took vacations to her 2nd home, had to care for her out of state ex, took trips to visit her daughter & disclosed that their relationship was strained. These issues took priority over our appointments. Carol & I also met at a coffee shop. Her reason for meeting at a coffee shop was because she wrote an unfair report & now her life was being threatened.Carol did a home visit. She claimed point was to see how the children were in their environment. She did the home visit with my ex first. She did not go to his home. They went out to dinner instead. Before her arrival, my ex dropped off belongings from our marital home. Mostly junk. He dumped contents of storage bins. We used a corner in the basement for storage. Ms. Reinert arrived & sat with us while we played games & then asked to inspect the home... which she did NOT say she was going to do. So, I politely told her I was confused why she did not go to my husbands home & do this. In the report, she claimed I got upset & claimed, when she saw the storage in the corner, that the home was a mess. The home was very tidy.
Ms. Reinert ordered pschy evals for us. This cost $975 for each & would most likely have no bearing on the case, let alone I was highly concerned because my husband had many psych evals , is highly intelligent & can outsmart the tests. She said if I did not comply, then I would be going against orders.
Our case was longer than most as we were awaiting on the outcome of a child abuse case, so insinuated that our case was a bother to her & she was underpaid. She said my ex would be cleared of charges and wanted to visit her new grand baby so she was ordered reunification therapy ASAP and wrote her report w/waiting for the child abuse case outcome. My ex took a guilty plea.
Carol also sent me a text message, asking me to have the boys call their father on his bday. I found it odd that she knew it was my ex's bday & texted me, when she has never text me in the past. Her report was incomplete & biased. She claimed I provided no proof of abuse. No mention of the evals where friends/family disclosed the abuse. She did however; quote my ex's words. He claimed parental alienation (he is the guilty one). Carol is unprofessional. If you plan to use Carols services... don't.
