Called to get an appt through my provider (Federal Government) and was told that they no longer see that particular company employees because the Dr. doesnt feel comfortable sending that company the charts or notes.. (This was told to me by the receptionist!) She also proceeded to tell me that there was another employee from that company that was being seen there that they had to send in the charts to them for.. (HIPAA Violation much?)

I was told by the people who arranged this that it was 100% confidential. And after the fact was told and confirmed that it is 100% confidential.

The receptionist has clearly never been trained in customer service or HIPAA. She knowingly told me about another patients case,... and then said " Well.. I shouldnt have said that.. " UMM YEA!!! You think?!

Very VERY VERY unprofessional!!!! and very RUDE!!!
