David provided counseling for me at his Boston Back Bay office. I remember the first time I spoke to David over the phone, I was having an anxiety attack due to changing circumstances in my life and I couldn't wait to see a counselor. David scheduled me in for an appointment immediately. I was nervous, at first, because it was my first time seeing a counselor, but as soon as the appointment started, I felt very much at ease with David. He is a fantastic listener and really understood and empathized with my situation. I regularly met with David for about 3 months and over time he gave the exact guidance that I need to progress forward in my life. During my time working with David, I also witnessed the Boston Marathon attacks and was extremely affected emotionally. David coped me through the situation and helped me to re-focus my attention to my personal and professional goals.

I would highly recommend David as a counselor for anyone needing even the slightest bit of support in regards to traumatic events, anxiety, relationships or anything else.

David LaPensee is a very good listener and has a knack for understanding human behavior. I came to him several months ago to help with resolving some issues and developing the confidence I needed to handle certain challenging situations in my life. He has more than delivered. I continue to see him because with every session I become stronger thanks to his kind and nurturing manner. I cannot recommend him enough.
