I've been seeing Dr. Dymond for several years now and her care has greatly improved my quality of life. her neuropsychology background has been most enlightening, as she can explain not just the symptoms of various conditions, but also the underlying systems in the brain that are involved.
what cost her the 5th star is more on the business side, where I've experienced problems with billing and not receiving any notice that appointments had been canceled.

SUCH A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!.... If there was negative stars to give I would give her -5. I called her office last week to make an appointment, her assistant was very quick to call back the next day and follow up with what I needed. She gave me an appointment time and sent me an e-mail with all the Doctors paperwork to complete before the appointment. The assistant followed up with me the morning of the appointment just to make sure I was set to go. I informed her twice that I had an HMO plan and that I had gone through the insurance plan and then stated she was in fact an HMO provider. The assistant told me to go in and provide the doctor with all that information that everything should be fine. I arrived to my 1pm appointment half an hour early just incase of anything. To my surprise, I sat there for about an hour waiting for the doctor to show up to the appointment, she was so late... such terrible first impression. As i went into the room she was very nice, no red flags (yet). She told me to sit and asked me for the paperwork. I handed her the documents and she went through them, she then noticed a copy of my insurance card attached to the paperwork. She then said, she wasn't aware we were going through my insurance. I told her I had informed her assistant. She then proceeded to tell me she didn't accept HMO and that the plan consistently made this mistake and sent patients to her quite a bit of times with HMO plan but she doesn't accept HMO. She then tried to help by calling the plan and she just got lost in the plans phone system and gave up. Up to this point she was doing ok, but I could tell she was irritated. Shortly after she hung up the phone she went ahead with her story about her NOT accepting HMO plans and asked if I had a PPO plan, I obviously DO NOT so she looked at me with a horrid glare and waited for me to say something. I apologized for the inconvenience and told her I was sorry but at this time I was not financially able to pay for her services out of pocket. Well I might as well have slapped the woman in the face because you could tell she was absolutely completely upset at what I said. She immediately got up and told me in a very poor rude manner to exit through the door on the left. As she practically rushed me out the door I asked her for the documents I brought with me since they had my personal information and she looked at me with a horrible stare and said ok and took the papers handed them to me and repeated again the exit was that way as she pointed to it again. As I walked out the door she literally could not walk me out fast enough and shut the door any louder.

All I have to say to her now is "I am sorry, I am sorry you could not get $200 out of me per session!"

The worst part of all is that before I went to her office I googled her and found so many not nice reviews about her and her snarky stuck up personality and I chose to ignore them. I chose to give her the benefit of the doubt, big mistake. If I would have known I was going to be treated this way I would have never EVER gone, I hope enough people read this review to avoid that snarky, nasty woman! I called the insurance plan immediately after she treated so terribly and they told me that they are not sure WHY she thinks she shouldn't be taking HMO plans since in the Aetna system where her contract is found, it states she should be taking HMO and PPO plans. I didn't get this information for a general 800 number on the card, I found this out from an actual plan source. So apparently she is just too good for HMO.
