Very disappointed in the treatment I received from Dr Hamilton. I have seen several therapists during my training as a mental health professional, and worked along side them as well. Dr. Hamilton is one of the worst I have seen.

On a positive note, Sophie the therapy dog is a treasure. I found myself wanting to take Sophie on walks alone, and leave Dr. Hamilton in the office. My time w Sophie resulted in me volunteering to work with animals, which, along w an anti-depressant, helped lift my depression.

Please dont misunderstand, I am in favor of psychotherapy w a competent therapist. Dr Hamilton was not a good match for me, and I can not give him a favorable review.

I'm only leaving this review because I just read two bad ones and was shocked. Dr. Hamilton is the best therapist I've ever seen and I saw two others. I recommended a friend and her husband to him and they are still raving about how much better he is than their other couples therapist. He is more expensive than most therapists I've heard of, but he gets the results and is worth every dime and more. If you want someone to help you fast, get to the root of issues, and create empowering alternatives then go see Dr. Hamilton. If you want to take a slower approach with someone not as skilled then by all means find a cheaper therapist, but realize in the end you get what you pay for and will probably end up paying more to another therapist and get less results because they aren't as good.
