I saw Nan weekly for a few years. She helped me get through a very difficult separation and divorce. Her emotional support and guidance was the absolute best. Both my kids went to a few visits with me and loved her, too. As a 10 and 12 year old they both wanted Nan for their own therapist. These are kids who despised going to their own therapist.
My attorney said that she is very highly respected by the legal community as well as her own peers. Even though Nan had just had surgery, she was present to testify in court at my divorce.
The friends, who I referred to her, spoke of her exceptional skills.
I moved from Knoxville and have not been able to find a therapist who could come close to Nan's competence as a therapist.
I highly recommend her!

I was a patient of Nan's in a child custody dispute - I am 30 now and still remember how awful this woman was to me. She would spend our sessions telling me that I was a terrible child and about how other patients of hers had it worse because their abuse had been more severe. At 7 yrs old, she told me should put me is "prison" because she felt I hadn't been honest when forced to testify at my parent's custody hearing. I used to hid under my bed before her sessions and beg not to go. I was roughly 7 when I was court ordered to see her...within a few months of her "therapy" I began contemplating my own death. She is a genuinely cruel woman who I have now seen is regarded by MANY other professionals in Knoxville as a terrible therapist. I am just one of many emotional and psychological abuse victims of this "therapist."
