I offer a variety of services including Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Thermal Connective Tissue Release, Reiki, Polarity, Craniosacral Therapy, Somatoemotional Release, Hot Stones Massage, Geriatric Massage, Pregnancy (Pre-Natal) Massage, Touch For Health Applied Kinesiology, Sinus Massage & Lymph Drainage Massage.
I tailor every massage to the individual client's needs. I often mix modalities as needed to achieve the best results. I proudly say that I never give the same massage twice. That's because your body has different needs this week than it will have next week. I take a complete history and update it each visit.
I was trained at the Whole You School of Massage and Bodywork in Rutherfordton, NC. I have received additonal training in Upledger's CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release. I serve as a teaching assistant with the Upledger Institute; thus, I am now considered staff by them.
I have completed Touch for Health classes through TFH3 and hope to complete TFH4 in 2011. I am also enrolled for additional Lymph Drainage Therapy through the Chikly Health Institute in January 2011. I am approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork as a continuing education Approved Provider #451254-10 and teach classes to other massage therapists.
I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, the Touch for Health Kinesiology Association, and the International Association of Heathcare Practitioners.
Besides my interest in complementary health care, I enjoy leading spiritual retreats and teaching workshops on a wide variety of topics ranging from the Enneagram (which is a personality typing system) to mediation, guided imagery, journaling and book discussions.
