I have been going to Lemper’s office for a few years, and have had no real problems until this last summer. The office staff is incompetent, can’t keep track of anything, can’t answer a simple question, and never return a call.
In October I was unable to pick up my pain meds at any major chain pharmacy, when I called to see if I could get something else prescribed, or if they had another pharmacy I could go to, or even what hospital they were affiliated with so I could go to their pharmacy. After my first call to the office, my calls went unanswered until I mentioned the Better Business Bureau and the Medical Board. I then received a call with help in finding a pharmacy. By this time I was 2 ½ days with no pain medication
In December they gave me a return appointment for a Monday in mid-January, on the Friday prior to my appointment in the late afternoon I received a call to change my appointment, I was driving and could not talk so the person stated she would call me back, and never did. I called before the office closed, but was sent to the answering service who stated that the office was still open, and someone would return my call. They did not. One hour prior to my appointment on Monday, I received a call that my appointment would be changed to very late on Thursday, I advised them that I would be out of medication by then, and was told there is nothing that could be done and knowing full well I would run out of my medication by Wednesday morning. At this time I stated that I want a copy of all my records, X-rays, and MRIs, and was told that they would be ready for pick up when I came in for my appointment. They were not, and I was told that the records office was closed. (They only had 4 days to get them ready)
When I was talking to the PA about the situation, and the things that had gone on these last few months, he stated “what do you want me to do? Come in on my day off!” I was thinking if Monday was his day off, why did they set me up with an appointment for that Monday? And why did they not try to reschedule earlier than late afternoon on the Friday just prior to my Monday appointment. But not actually calling and rescheduling the appointment until one hour prior to my appointment.
By the time I got out of the office with my prescriptions, I went to a couple Pharmacies, but they were closed. I was not able to get the prescriptions filled until late Friday afternoon.
The office staff seems to have a bad attitude, and really does not care about you, your pain level, whether you have meds, or really anything about you. Your just another number they can bill the insurance for.

Everything I told them seemed to go in one ear and out the other. I didn't feel like they cared about what I had to say at all. The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded. I got an appointment quickly. I've never had to wait too long. Most of the time, they don't call me back for quite a while, but they've called me back quickly once or twice. I haven't seen any coupons or discounts for this provider's office, but I haven't really looked. They never mention anything about promotions when I'm there.

The office staff is incompetent. Took over a week to get an MRI scheduled due to office staff not verifying insurance properly, and this was after the Dr. told me I could get my MRI that day.

I made an appointment last week for today, gave him them new insurance information last week. They called yesterday to confirm the appointment and say they were having problems getting insurance verification... From my old insurance company!

I am picking up my records tomorrow, I have cancelled any remaining business with this Pain Center. It's too bad because the actual Doctors are good to work with and listen. It's the staff that causes all the problems in this office.

I just cancelled my last appointment and am picking up my records to find another office.
