I worked for Penrose as an RN. I came down with a bad gall bladder. The Penrose surgeon botched the operation! I was in a septic coma for 3 weeks and came VERY close to dying. After I woke up, I needed five more weeks to relearn how to walk. The day before I was released to stagger home on a walker to recover, I was FIRED by Penrose because "I could no longer do the work!". Penrose has these "seven values" they LOVE to brag on; I figure they blew five of them with me. I have NEVER received an apology from this evil corporation. The pay was good but any employee would be advised to be on their guard with this corporation. "The sisters have been replaced by the suits."

If I had the choice I would not give this horrible place one single star. I'm not from this area and I can say, Having come from a very poor state I never expected a decrease in the quality of healthcare provided by a "Big" Hospital. But I am witness to what can only be described as "The worst abuse of the public seeking health care services I have ever encountered." This place and it's staff of Doctors and wanna be doctors, otherwise, known as PA's are horrible. Like I said they are terribly abusive to the public. This business is there to make money. That is their focus. They are not about public service or responsibility. They are quite simply something we should as a public not tolerate.
