Unfortunately this is the only hospital in town and we are more or less forced to use them. For the past year we went a few times to the pediatric department at St. James with our toddler child. Here are some basic things:
- If you ever have a question they would NOT answer anything over the phone; rather, they make you come in for visits for any minor detail... of course they will charge you ca. $150 for each visit, even though you learn nothing new regarding the health situation.
- If you make a call to speak to a doctor (e.g. my kid's pediatrician) it may take 2-3 days literally before anyone calls you back.
- In the pediatric department some nurses will take liberties to schedule patients any way they see fit, and would not pay any attention to what parents want for their kids.
I am not saying that all people in the pediatric department are this way, but may of them are! I am sorry we have to use this facility, but this is the only hospital in Butte.

No, they are almost always unavailable

Absolutely not!! They never listen to customers complaints and argue with them

Yes, they could have waited

Not at all. I felt terrible for all the staff members
