By far the absolute WORST counseling experience I've ever had in my life. I would give no stars if I could. I needed counseling after my counseling session with her to deal with all of the awful, triggering things she said to me. She knew I was unhappy with the session because she did not even schedule the follow-up appointment I begrudgingly agreed to. She had no interest in listening to me and getting to know me; she was only interested in interrupting me as I tried to explain my situation (during the pandemic no less!) to give trite snap judgments, not at all rooted in my lived experience, which she seemed to have no interest in learning about. Example: She said my mother abandoned me as a child because she had a job. She also repeatedly told me Harriet Tubman was ugly in an effort to encourage me? It takes a lot to be vulnerable and reach out for help when you need it to a complete and total stranger. Don't bother being vulnerable and pouring out your heart to this woman in your time of need. She will only make it worse.

We have only had one session of a few more to come and she is amazing! She kept my daughter engaged in her conversation by giving her real life situations/examples. I am looking forward to our future sessions.
