I am so thankful for Kathy and greatly appreciate the fact that she does NOT PUSH her 'little' clients to say anything. She allows them to play and chat as they wish. Over the past few years my child has come to really trust her. And for what my child has been through, this is a BIG deal! While we don't agree on everything, it is easy to see she really cares about her clients and works well with 'both sides', if/when that exists. Thumbs up!

Honestly, I can not say that I was pleased with the services provided by Kathy Coleman. I was going through a dispute involving child custody, in which the other co-parent was to attend supervised "playtime" with my child.Throughout the process Kathy inserted herself numerous times within our matters, rather than only obtaining her neutral position as a therapist/observer. She often made decisions with the co-parent without confiding with me first, and I felt myself being put in many of awkward positions most of the time; as far as who and who not to introduce to my child. She strongly acted as a dictator, and even made comments that made me feel uneasy throughout my case. For example; I am a service member and was anticipating on relocating due to the nature of my job and what was expressed from Kathy was that she was "disgusted that I would be leaving in the middle of all of this". Going through something so stressful already, I would not recommend Kathy Coleman's services to any parent who desires nothing but the best for their child. I've have expressed my concerns to Kathy numerous times; about the mental, physical, psychological and emotional well-being of my child, and it seemed to just have gone through one ear and out of the other. When our court date came up, the co-parent hired her on as a witness, and Kathy said not a single word to me until she was leaving, but was noticed assisting in the comfort of the co-parent who was to be attending these classes for parental responsibilities. If your a parent and want CREDIBLE results in such a life changing, overwhelming process that is not "one-sided", I strongly suggest finding a more reliable therapist!
