Things started well with her , she was friendly. The problem was I was paying $130 per visit out of pocket weekly and generally we never covered much ground. She was easily strayed to off topic by me [ my fault] but she never brought us back to the real issues at hand. Most visits where a waste of time. She requires payment when you come in, at wants a credit card on file in case you miss a meeting. I missed and always payed her anyway and was abit taken back after months of meeting and me always paying on time she suddenly wanted a credit card on file.
I have some depression issues [ caused by SSRI IMO ] I tolD her I dont like labels , it makes my condition feel permanant , yet she had the nerve to write
' severe depression' on correspondence with me. She agreed not to do it again. I finally realized we were making no progress after a year , I was paying thousandS of dollars to her so I told her I wanted to leave her care and asked her not to contact me anymore. She continued to call me, email me and sent me a letter saying she was terminating treatment. On that letter she wrote I needed additioanl care because of '' severe depression . reoccurent'' , she knows I hate to see those words. She was spitefull to do that, to keep bothering me when I asked her to leave me alone.
She may be helpfull to some, but I certainly would not go back to her. It seems she she wants you under her care indefinitly , we never discussed a goal or when we would be able to terminate our relationship.
I cetainly would not give her a credit card, no other medical pproffessional rquires that up front that I know of. I think a fee of $40-$50 per visit may make it a bit more fair
