Rarely go to the doctor. I was very sick with a chronic cough that had been lingering for nearly a month. Went seeking help. Left feeling hustled. After declining an inhaler several times both the doctor and nurse convinced me to take home an inhaler. Stating "well if it will help just a little". They also thought it would be a good idea for me to do a breathing test. I said ok. Easy. So after I blew in the device The nurse handed it to menand said i could take it home. We just received a bill for these "services"! $844.22. The inhaler 136.22. The respiratory service 129.00. The visit 485.00. And a professional fee of 94.00. We are insured. With a high deductible. The inhaler could have been called in to a pharmacy and we would have paid around 10.00. These people take advantage of sick people who are feeling vulnerable. There is one wonderful male doctor here who has cared for our son. Thankful we now have established doctors. Extremely disappointed in the lack of quality care. I had influenza. Apparently they are pushers. They WILL try to sell you something you do not need.
