I came to Court Street Vet after a recent, very negative - VERY expensive - experience with another hospital in town that lead to the death of my best friend of 9 years. I'm relatively new to the area, so when I adopted a kitten, Layla, she needed a local doctor.
Everything from my phone call to make her first appointment, right through the doctor's visit and follow ups with Doctor Franson, this hospital has been caring, courteous, informative, and above all else, they are about medicine, not money.
I've been extremely impressed with the staff and the care of this hospital during Layla's two wellness exams for her boosters with Doctor Franson, who is a truly caring and wonderful vet, but her third visit is really what made me a Court Street Lifer - Layla was experiencing some diaahrea, so I called in the morning and not only did the receptionist know who Layla was, but they had time for me in the afternoon. Layla's doctor was not working, so I met with Doctor Righter. After her physical exam yeilding nothing apparently wrong, and despite her previous fecal sample being negative, he tested one more time and discovered a slow incubating parasite in her small intestines. He thoroughly explained what it was, what consequences it had, and how it is treated. He provided paperwork explaining the parasite, and a prescription to treat the parasite. He was attentive to Layla, and courteous to me.
I highly recommend this hospital to anyone looking - and even if you aren't - for a new Vet. They're personal, they're compotent, and from what I have experienced so far, they do not jump to invasive tests to find the root cause for your pets ailments. Thank you so much, Court Street, you guys rock!
