I was left in the appointment room by myself, but they eventually returned. When comparing them to others in their field, I would say they are by far the worst I have ever seen. I will never return. I had to wait a while after I arrived for my appointment. The staff didn't even keep me updated about how much longer it would be. The staff didn't seem to know a whole lot about the company they worked for. Every single time I'd ask them a question, they'd refer me to someone else. It was very frustrating. They didn't show any sort of attention to detail, which I think is very important. I was afraid they were going to miss or forget something important. Spoke with the owner, as long you spend money there no problem, you have a problem don't waist your time trying to get the owner to resolve the problem. All they want is your money. One of the most expensive places in the Tri Cities.
As the parent of a special needs child, I have had many occasion to need products/services this company provides and have always found their customer service to be rude and difficult to work with. After an accident left me unable to walk recently, my mother took a Dr. order and my insurance information to this agency to obtain a wheelchair. They were extremely rude to her as well and told her that it would be several days to obtain all of the proper paperwork from the Dr. allowing me to actually have the wheelchair and that my mother would have to go get said paperwork and bring it to them and allow them several more days to process said paperwork before they would provide the wheelchair. They did not seem to have any concern about what I would do in the mean time as it was Friday afternoon and offices would not open up until monday morning. My mother took the same paperwork to another provider of home medical supplies (Maxcare) and walked right out of the business with the wheelchair I needed, being told by this business that if any further paperwork was needed, they would contact the Dr. and get it without having to further trouble me to do so.
Products and store: Excellent. Handing special orders and returns: Very disappointing. Ordered a custom chair, then after waiting the 6-8 weeks, I called back and they had no record of the order. Later, I bought a chair from existing inventory, then returned it. Had to ask them several times to refund the money to my credit card. I have bought several products at In Home Medical, and all were good. Once their staff learns how to follow through on paperwork and return phone calls, they will outshine the competition!
