I was billed by a collection agency (Prince Parker & Associates) a year after my surgery even though I did not owe any overdue money. I paid the first bill, but not the second one. My doctor and surgery center told me that I did not owe any money.
I've been getting collection notices and left a message for them to bill me as I'd never seen an invoice. I surprisingly did get an invoice (i guess they listen to their messages) yesterday and research brought me here. The actual providers phone phone system is unacceptable as it is set up to take an extension that is not provided on the invoice so I'm disconnected. Apparently they don't bill for their services they just advance it to a collection agency. I too received an ankle brace through the dr's office that this bill if for. Crazy
Received equipment through doctor's office. Of course, I was not told how much I would be charged. Their price was 300% above what normal retail value is on the brace. While still in dispute over price with insurance company, they turned the bill into collection agency. Horrible company who take advantage of the insanity that is the way our medical system is set up.
