We bought a $5,000+/- chair from Central Mobility a couple years back. The casters on the chair were going bad so we attempted to bring the back to Central Mobility for service. We waited over 11 weeks for the parts/service appointment (which, after contacting the manufacturer, the manufacturer said should have taken only 2-3 weeks). We finally received the appointment and what was supposed to be a 15 minute fix took 2 days. Within 4 days the casters broke again (another trip to central) and broke again 2 days after that. I informed Central this is our daughters only chair and only means of mobility, they did not care and said they could not fix it correctly and we were lucky they did not charge us more. This is when we called the manufacturer, found out Central delayed ordering our parts for 2 months. So we took her wheelchair to the technician at Shriners Hospital for Children, he definitively confirmed CENTRAL MOBILITY HAD BROKEN THE FRAME on our daughter's chair while attempting to repair. I contested the charges with my bank but Cental claimed to our bank they provided the service and were owed the money. We are left with a broken inoperable chair (we must replace entire chair now that they broke the frame), they refuse to help fix our daughter's chair or attempt to make it right and now they won't even return our money for the service of breaking out daughter's only wheelchair.... These people are not ethical.
