I visited this provider about a script for a walker I needed after knee replacement surgery. They told me that my insurance was difficult to deal with but they would submit the request and see what my ins had to say. If they would not pay we would discuss rental. I never heard back from them as promised so I found a friend who had a top of the line walker I could borrow and never thought about it again. The day before my surgery the owner's wife called and told me she was so sorry that she had taken so long to get back to me and she knew my surgery was the next day but she had good news for me. Since I had met my out of pocket my ins was going to pay for the walker entirely. I told them I didn't need it as I had one to borrow and she said you might as well have this one. It's paid for. In fact, I feel so bad about not getting back to you I will have it delivered today. I finally agreed and it was delivered that afternoon. Two months later I got a bill for the walker in the mail. I angrily called Wester's and told them I was not paying for the walker which I had only taken because they assured me it was paid for.. She told me she had said no such thing and had recorded our conversation as proof. I told her I wanted to hear the recording and she admitted that well, she had made notes...so it was her word against mine. I told her I woulod go to the ins company and she told me they would get me for ins fraud since I signed for delivery of the walker. I told her I would call them as soon as we were done talking and tell them what had happened and she didn't want me to do that. In the end she agreed that someone would come get the walker which had never been used. When they did they had me signe a rental return receipt. I never sw anything from my ins showing that they had been re-embursed and a month later I got another bill for the walker which was returned. Shady damn business.
