Dr. Milledge may be good for giving puppies and kittens their shots but when it comes to the life and death treatments of your beloved fur family members; seek another vet. He killed my dog by not admitting her problem was beyond his scope of expertise. He allowed her to be "observed" without treatment for over 8 hours and sent her home at death's door with "just watch her" as his advice. No treatment. No help. Yet he charged me for his time and trouble. Since it was by then after hours, I had to take my girl to the ER clinic. Several thousand dollars later of tests and unanswered questions, they sent us home. Again, no help. This clinic was a referral from Dr. Milledge. Should have known better. I take my girl to a GREAT vet on the other end of town who was referred to me by a friend. By then, my girl was knocking on death's door. The vet there properly diagnosed my girl as in heart failure. How could two other vets have kept my girl for two days and both couldn't figure it out in all that time, yet a third vet found it in minutes? My girl died and part of me died with her. My new vet is the third vet who has compassion and knowledge of canine problems that Dr. Milledge does not have in all the 20+ years I took my animals to him. After my girl died, NO ONE at Dr. Milledge's practice called to check on me or to send a condolence card. To this day, I have not heard one word from him or any of his staff. You would think that someone who treated my many animals and reaped the $300 to $1000 per month I spent at his practice would have had the courtesy to say, "I'm sorry". His silence is an effective declaration of GUILT. So, do yourselves a favor and find yourselves an actual vet who knows more about treating animals than standing around scratching his head and saying, "I don't know".

I have used carson rd. pet clinic for years or should i say decades. Dr. Milledge is probably the best doctor in the state of Alabama. He is extremely knowledgeable and has more experience yhan any vet around. I would not take my pet to anyone else. Oh, and the cost is more than reasonable. Dr. Milledge is concerned with the health of your pet and sure every business is there to make money, but at Carson Road Clinic they strive to take care of your pet and do not rake you over the coals when it comes time to pay your bill. You cannot find another pet doctor in this area that will take better care of your pet.
