The Animal Care Center of Ooltewah is a state of the art practice in Ooltewah, Tennessee. We care for companion animals from birth to old age with talored wellness care, dental care, medicine and surgery. We offer in house diagnostics, house calls, pharmacy, boarding and grooming. Dr Mullins has 30 years of experience including emergency, avian and exotic animals with honors, awards and letters of commendation from the United States Department of Agriculture for work with Foot and Mouth in Britain and Newcastle Disease in California, the American Veterinary Medical Association and Humane Society of the United States for work during the Katrina Disaster with VMAT-3 in South Mississippi and with the Association of Avian Veterinarians. He has coautored an ariticle in the Journal of the Assocaition of Avian Veteriarians and assisted with artificial insemination in a clouded leopard at the Nashville Zoo. He is active in the community on the board of directors of the Ooltewah/Collegedale Chapter of the Chamber of Commerce in charge of Operation Thank You, director of Reality Check at Ooltewah High and on the fund raising committee of Arts in the Park. He is a member of the Hamilton County Disaster Animal Response Team and the National Veterinary Response Teams. He attends St Frances Episcopal Church. He spent two years working in the African bush in community development with subsistance farmers. This broad range of experience brings a unique approach to his patients.
