When I called to make my appointment, I had some questions, the receptionist seemed very irritated that I had questions. I work in reception and know how important it is to make people feel welcome. I believe she even sighed loudly when I asked another question, didn't even answer it and then said "do you want this appt or not??" Rude. I wish the owner would address this problem but perhaps that's why they continue to be rude, because there is no accountability there. The vetrinarians themselves are very helpful but getting past the rudeness of the receptionists is very hard. They seemed like they were extremely irritated to be at work, and that they couldn't wait for me to leave. They didn't seem to want to help anyone. I didn't wait long at all. My appointment started on time, and the wait was much shorter than other offices I have been to. Just as a side note, I was very impressed with how conveniently located this business was and how close it was to other shopping centers. It was so easy to find, I didn't have any trouble at all. The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded. They gave about the same level of care as others I have been to for the same problem.
I drive 30 miles from Brainerd to the Staples Clinic for my pets, despite many other veterinarians that are closer. Three reasons: They're exceptionally good with the animals. They're exceptionally good with people (I've had to have a few older dogs put down). And their prices are the best in the area.
As a rural area with many lower-income (i.e. me and many farmers) families, they do their best to be affordable and compassionate while extremely professional.
