I called Dr. Browns office yesterday because I found a lost dog that was registered as having it's rabies shots at her office. When I called to ask them information, their employee Maggie(wouldn't give me her last initial) proceeded to tell me that they had more important calls to take than from someone who wasn't a paying customer. I asked her just to hang on while I jotted down the few things she did tell me and she immediately informed me that they didn't have time for me. When I asked her to wait just a moment while I made notes, she actually told me that she was just going to hang up on me because it was not beneficial to stay on the phone with me. After she HUNG UP ON ME..... I called back and asked to speak with the office manager. A woman named Cheryl came on the line and that she agreed with Maggie that they only had ONE phone line and therefore needed to hang up on me because they had "higher priority" people that they needed to deal with. When I suggested that they have more then one phone line, Cheryl told me that that was, (I quote) "NONE OF MY BUSINESS". I asked to speak to the Dr. Brown because I was really concerned with this dog, and she then informed me that she was in fact going to hang up on me as well due to the fact that they had (I quote) "More important phone calls to attend to." I know I will NEVER bring my animals to this Vet Office. I can't speak to the nature of Dr. Brown, but the women running the office don't seem to care about callers who are not paying customers. Enough said, Right????

I came to this office after my last vet closed his practice. My dog had several problems which I brought to their attention over a year ago. They kept focusing on his weight, exercise & diet which I explained I've been monitoring closely for years and hasn't made a difference. It's now a year later. I brought my dog in for his regular check up. They checked him out and gave him several shots. At the end of the exam they told me I needed to make another appointment for blood work to find out what's wrong with my dog. In the mean time, I just paid over $300 for the current appointment. Then they told me the blood work would cost another $300. Had they discussed this with me before giving him all his shots, I would have opted to only get the rabies vaccine so I could afford the blood test. 4 weeks later and my dog has had two seizures which he's never had. His hips have given out on him and he's still occasionally vomiting bile which has been going on for more than a year. I thought I was going to have to have him put down, but I called the office to speak to the vet and figure out what my next step should be. The vet had been out sick for a while and a substitute was there. I was told this person couldn't speak with me because they were finishing up in an hour and wouldn't be back until the next day. There were no other employees/technicians that could speak with me either. So I asked that my dogs records be immediately transferred to another vet who could help me. They said they would do it right away. 3 hours and it hadn't been done. I called back and spoked to someone who just came on shift and he said he would do it right away. The new vet finally got the records about a day after I made the request.
